Khristina Judan Cruz (Karen) joins the MEcoH Lab as a postdoctoral fellow to do research work on the genome-wide signatures in genetically improved tilapia.  She obtained her PhD in Biology at De La Salle University - Manila where she worked on the genetic characterization and gene expression analyses on Philippine genetically enhanced farmed tilapia. She plans to include comparative transcriptomics in her future projects.  She is an Associate Professor at the Central Luzon State University, Science City of Munoz, Nueva Ecija, Philippines. Her research experience also includes integrating nanotechnology and bioactive compounds (nanobioapproach) for biomedical applications such as quorum sensing inhibition and anti-cancer action.

I Dr. Tahir Abbas writing to express my interest in the post doc or any research oriented job. I started my Government service in 1997 after completing M.Sc (1995) and work as lecturer, assistant professor, head of biology department and Principal administrative in different Colleges of HED Punjab, Pakistan in my 25 years’ service.
I completed my PhD (2014) through Indigenous Scholarship (M.Phil leading PhD) about "Andro-hepatic response to Cr+6, and ameliorations of Morus nigra, Syzygium cumini and their co-treatment in Mus musculus“. I with my coauthors work about teratology, histopathology, mammary line tumor/cancer and micrometrical deleterious effects of insecticides and heavy metals on mammalian model mice embryo, testis, sperms, epididymis, vas deferens, ovary, liver, kidney, adrenal glands, hormonal and blood parameters from 2005 to 2012. We not only address the injurious effects of toxicants but also recommend the ameliorative role of cheapest fruit extracts like olive, jambul, morus, strawberry, arand, basila alba, nigella sativa and pomegranate oil from 2012 to 2019 and our work was published in 26 research papers.
In 2019, I was nominated for Post doc from School of Pharmacy and Medical Science, University of South Australia about cancer research by Cory J Xian (research professor of bone growth and cancer) but unfortunately Government of Pakistan do not issue the required grant for research. I am also working as reviewer in Food and Chemical Toxicology (Elsevier), Toxicology and Applied Pharmacology (Elsevier), International Journal of Reproductive BioMedicine (Iran), Molecular Biology Reports (Springer) and Journal of Ovarian Research (BMC Part of Springer Nature).
I believe that my skills and experience could be a great assert for young researchers and medical students to work on mammalian model mice before starting human clinical trials and publishing their research papers to compete the universe. I possess all of those qualities required for university to provide good chance to probe and discover novel medicines which should be free from side effects. I believe that working together with competent teams in well-equipped lab can lead to significant discoveries from local cheapest plant extracts rich in anthocyanin, polyphenol and flavonoid phytochemicals.
