Dr. Anwar Hossain is working as Professor of the Department of Fisheries (Aquaculture Branch), Faculty of Biological Sciences, University of Dhaka, Bangladesh. He did his PhD in the field of Environmental Risk Management from Yokohama National University, Japan. His research emphasis on antibiotics and AMR risk assessment and management in aquaculture as well as aquatic environment.
He is an enthusiastic researcher, working with national and international scientists from different countries like Japan, USA, Australia, and Canada etc. He has more than 50 research articles in his credit, published in national and international reputed journals (Exposure and Health, Chemosphere, Environmental Research, Global Food Security, Environmental Science and Pollution Research, AMB Express, Biological Trace Element Research, Chemistry and Ecology, Archives of Environmental Contamination and Toxicology, etc.). Currently he is working as JSPS postdoctoral fellow under Prof. Kozo Watanabe at MECOH Lab, Center for Marine Environmental Studies (CMES), Ehime University, Japan. His key research interest is the pollution of emerging pollutants in Natural and Aquaculture Environment particularly Antibiotics and AMR contamination.
